zine: a fan zine for BEASTARS

this zine was first handed out at Gateway FurMeet 2025

i have been pondering how to make a fan zine for BEASTARS, and my inspiration met motivation when i realized i could hand out zines at GFM! i made this zine in an afternoon using my catalog of bookmarked fan fics and lots of wikipedia articles.

i had an artist friend of mine print out some bootleg stickers based on a Japanese exclusive sticker i got from a friend when they were in Japan.

i ended up getting 50 stickers and printed 25 zines at the library and folded them all a day before the con. it took a bit, but some youtube helped and i had a fat stack to hand out at the con!

my favorite feature of the zine is the back cover which can be used as a series tracker for the manga, anime, and BEAST COMPLEX, the sister series! i plan on using this myself since i am still working thru the manga and catching up on the anime.
